"As a faithful archetype of his generation, Sandro de la Rosa incorporated the aesthetic and formal techniques, which he later utilized to confront the representational inertia and worries generated by the conceptual impetus of the eighties and its social repercussions. If this assimilation was not a forced one for him, it was because he has always been -and continues to be- obsessed with artistic perfection, gifted with the pertinence and temperament necessary to be able to reach it, avid of knowledge and willing to delve into the enigmas or duplicities of art and its circumstances... Like the context he allegorizes, his paintings are replete with supposedly incongruous relationships, with evanescences that once internalized, grasped, revealed in their disguised packaging, begin to offer us the most perspicacious narrations."
